9 WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine : This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(6) That's Okay : This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks : A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' ... that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever : Is a women's way of saying F* YOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

I am feeling extremely bitchy today because after so many months of internship, i realised there are a lot of bad habits that Singaporeans have especially at where they call the "chi chi" area of the working industry - Raffles Place.

Raffles Place, this is where all the big ass high rise buildings are and big ass people wearing suits & killer heels walking around in their most business-sy mode. But underneath the "glamorous chi chi" Raffles Place there are many many rude working adults.

BAD HABITS
TRAINS - Number 1 bad habit of most Singaporeans. People just don't understand the meaning of GIVING WAY. It is so amazing how some people can actually stand in the middle of the door waiting to get into the trains and like as if people will only get into the train and not get out of it. So when the door opens, they will rush in and not give a chance for people to alight from the train. This happens when people are going to work & when they are going home. Like hello, just chill with the kiasu-ness! The next train will come in less than 5 mins and even if you don't get a seat so what? Haven't you sit enough in the office?
The next thing is QUEUEING UP. People like to squeeze in from the right, from the left, so bloody kiasu to get onto the train. Like as if the next train is going to take several hours and if they don't get onto the train, they'll die. & when you look at them with that kind of irritated look when they cut your queue, they will give you that kind of "what are you looking at" return look. RUDE RUDE RUDE. These bad habits apply to buses as well. =.=

TICKETING MACHINES - Yesterday i met with the most classic & common incident. There was this guy in front of me topping up his EZlink card. I queued up behind him and while waiting for him to be done, i was fishing out something from my bag. Then there was another guy who was at the next machine, but he was so blind that he couldn't see the red sign saying that the machine was Out Of Order. Just nice, the guy in front of me was done topping up his EZlink Card and that sickening cockeye guy just cut my queue and went to top up his card. SO RUDE OMG. I was like WTF? I couldn't help but stared at him while i went to another machine to top up my card. That cockeye shit knew i was staring at him the whole time but he didn't dare to look. I tell you, if i was pms-ing yesterday, i would have scolded him. Who cares whether he is a man and he's older than me. HE WAS RUDE RUDE RUDE. So old already still so ILL-MANNERED.

ESCALATORS - The timing between 845am - 9am is the most peak 15 mins in the business world. So obviously people will tend to rush to work or wherever they have to go. BUT, i think people wouldn't have to rush that much if they know how to queue up to get onto the escalator. Just like the train, people like to squeeze from the right, from the left, from everywhere. Singaporeans are so fantastic at squeezing. I'm sure if there is a Squeezing Competition in the Olympics, Singapore will surely bag all the gold medals ever! AND, aftering so many signs telling people to stand on the left, people are still standing on the right and hogging up the space on the escalators for people who wants to walk up.

ELEVATORS - As usual, people don't know how to queue up and like to squeeze & squeeze! One thing, some people just don't know how to press the (DOOR OPEN) sign for people to get into the elevators. Worst of all, when people in the elevators see someone trying to get into the lift but can't press the (UP) or (DOWN) button outside on time, they don't know how to be initiative and let the person ride the lift. Instead, they would just let the door close in that person's face.
Another RUDE point.

Sigh. Where have all the many years of education gone to? Technically, when you're well-educated, you have better manners. Sadly, that doesn't apply in Singapore. The more well educated you are here, the more people will think they are almighty. Almighty my ass. Being rude makes you low class. I notice that the ang-mohs are mainly the better mannered once. They know how to give way and they always let the ladies get into the train, hold the door etc. first. Singaporean men? Unfortunately, NOOOO... that isn't the case.

Argh.

4 Thursdays ago, on this very same day, I lost my beloved Grandmother.
After fighting cancer for 5 years, she finally succumbed to the calling of death. On that very same day, i only got to see her for 10 minutes, that most precious 10 minutes of my life. She left peacefully, after letting out a weak cough.

Not too long ago during Chinese New Year this year, she was sick, yet well enough to enjoy food, which was something she liked doing best. & only within 4 months, her body deteriorated to an extent where she was bed-ridden, can hardly eat, speak or stay awake. Most of the time she was sleeping. Her once plump figure shrunk to a size which i could hardly recognised. Her body, so frail, without a speck of energy left in her. All she wanted was the companionship from her family.

My grandmother made the best Popiah.
& she's the best Ah Mah i could ever have.
I will miss her, always will.

Giving Birth

Yesterday I saw a video of a woman giving birth on Youtube. I've never seen a woman giving birth before (except on TV which I feel is quite exaggerated) and to many people, its a beautiful thing. Well, its beautiful because a new life is borned.
But when i watched the video, i felt sick. The doctor had to cut the woman's vagina so that there's a wider passage for the baby to come out, ouch. After the baby's head and arms are out, the doctor will pull the baby out and there's this "pop" action when the baby is out, followed by the umbilical cord. I didn't know umbilical cord was so long =.=
Oh well, the scene was quite traumatising.

Anyways, my mom watched the video with me and she said that she had difficulty giving birth to me.
She needed the aid of Forceps for me to come out. Hee.
